OpenAccounts
Whilst OpenAccounts is not as customisable as eBIS, you can still use a variety of analysis codes to make the system work for you
Report Writing. There are several different types of reports that can be created in OpenAccounts (Customers, Profit & Loss, Balances, transactions etc) and when combined with analysis codes and the use of hierarchies, this make the reporting capability of OpenAccounts extremely powerful.
Table Queries can be created in OpenAccounts to also report on the forms raised in eBIS. A useful way to record the number of documents going through eBIS, as well as spotting any users causing bottlenecks in the workflow.
Analysis Codes. The use of analysis codes is not just limited to reporting, they can also be utilised in the selection of suppliers for payment runs and customers for direct debit collections.
Supplier Creation. It is possible to lock down the creation of suppliers in OpenAccounts and force the creation through eBIS. This ensures each supplier that is set up goes through the controls required by your organisation and reduces the possibility of fraud. Any modifications to suppliers records (Bank Details etc) can also be forced through eBIS for approval.
Profiles. Creating user profiles not only reduces the amount of time required to set up a new user, it is also an important control tool to ensure the users only see and access what they are supposed to!
Training. From end users to system administrators.
